Welcome!

Hi, and welcome to my blog! I’m Melanie, a soprano and dancer based in Brooklyn. After spending years trying to fit into the traditional opera soprano box, I decided to chart my own path. Now, I am merging my two loves - opera & dance - together in fun & unique ways!

This combo has taken me to some pretty cool places, and uprooted this Nebraska girl to the crazy world of Brooklyn. As I keep creating and exploring, I want to help singers dance, and help dancers sing.
